Today: We had an appointment at the hospital. But as always, we ended up wandering through the streets where the record shop is and where a sticker on a lamp post says exactly what needs to be said. This is Marburg.

Hard to ignore: the garden needs work. But this challenge is making me photograph things I'd normally walk past — a toy water pistol, a rusty chain — instead of hunting the next perfect shot.

We have a cotoneaster in the garden. I don’t like it, honestly. But the bees? Absolutely love it. Hundreds of them. Pure all-you-can-eat territory. 🐝🥗

Back on top of the Main Tower. Step back, watch the tourists enjoy the view. Long discussions above the city, or just standing still while Frankfurt doesn’t.

Jamie’s Classic Neg recipe is basically my go-to, not just for summer. It brings some warmth back into autumn and winter.

Limewood is small, familiar, just down the road. Two locations: a cozy outdoor stage during the day, then a small hall in the evening. Plenty of bands. Three that stuck.

Lüt were great. The crowd outside was small. Didn't stop the singer from crowdsurfing. Pure rock and roll.

The Feelgood McLouds played dirty, snotty Irish folk punk and somehow got a circle pit going. 😮‍💨

And then Itchy. They usually play much bigger shows, but they kicked off their festival summer at Limewood. The place was packed and they delivered. What a riot.

First time I had my Fujifilm with me. Thought I'd missed every shot. Boy, was I wrong. 😈
