Weekly Notes #1, and a Thank You!
So these are my first weekly notes ever, and I somehow picked a pretty eventful week for it. ๐ฎโ๐จ
๐ถ Kishu at the Vet
Our 13 year old poodle lady Kishu unfortunately has to be spayed. Her hormone levels, recurring false pregnancies, and increasing aggression towards our other dog sadly donโt leave us much choice. 1

๐จ A Hidden Artistic Talent
One of our toilet flushes broke this week. We needed a quick warning sign so nobody accidentally gets stranded on the throne.
I think this is peak Harry.

๐ Mails from My Wife
For every post I publish on this blog, my wife Gina sends me an email with her thoughts. Sometimes they make me laugh, sometimes they encourage me, and sometimes they give me something to think about.
One day I'll probably dedicate an entire page on this blog to them.
These photos are beautiful little family moments. They belong in the box of "fatherhood memories". I know that's not really a thing, but it's my own mix of childhood and fatherhood.
You capture the magic of nature and preserve it for later. I love your photos!
You wrote something here that you wouldn't have been able to write a few years ago. You've learned to feel your emotions and truly understand them.
What I see here is growth. It's maturity. Be proud of yourself. I'm proud of you.
And now... cranberries. ๐

๐ WWDC 2026
For the first time in many years, I wasn't particularly excited about this year's WWDC 2. The last few years have been rather disappointing for me.
I only had the livestream running in the background this time. The AI and Siri topics are already being discussed everywhere, so I don't really have anything to add.
What I do appreciate, though, is the renewed focus on stability and bug fixes. A proper "Snow Leopard release" was long overdue.
โฝ The World Cup Is Happening
Apparently, the Football World Cup has started and that's about the extent of both my knowledge and my interest in the matter. ๐
โค๏ธ My First Personal Post
This week I published Drinking Beer with Mom. I wasn't sure if I wanted to put something this personal on the internet.
The Bear community showed me that there's room for all kinds of stories.
I've received so many emails from people thanking me for sharing it, telling me about similar experiences, or simply realizing that they're not alone.
I honestly don't know what else to say except:
