Behind our cemetery's walls - Day 29/30.

Below our cemetery, the land drops down into the Lahn Valley.

As a teenager, this little dirt path was always fascinating to me, and pretty much off limits. Down there you’ll find an old World War II bunker and a few abandoned buildings that once belonged to the Brecher, an old loading station where stone from the nearby quarry was transferred onto ships.

But that’s probably a story for another post.

Today is about the view. From the cemetery, you can look out across the Lahn Valley and over the quarry.

I’m also trying something new by giving each photo its own caption. Let’s see how that goes. 🙂
